Bali International Triathlon at Jimbaran Bay FIRST TRIATHLON EVER IN BALI TO BE HELD ON JUNE 24, 2007!!!

Inaugural Race debuts in 2007

LOS ANGELES, CA (November 21, 2006)

Bali International Triathlon, LLC has just announced that the first triathlon race ever to
be held on the island of Bali will take place on June 24, 2007 at Jimbaran Bay, Bali. The
Olympic distance course, consisting of a 1.5 kilometer swim in the warm waters of
Jimbaran Bay, a 40 kilometer bike course through the Nusa Dua area of the island, and a 10 kilometer run through Jimbaran Village with a beach finish, will provide participating
athletes with a challenging and scenic race.

Four Seasons at Jimbaran Bay, one of the leading race sponsors, is offering a first prize package consisting of a three day, two night stay in one of their world famous luxury villas. Awards will also be given to the first three finishers in each age group category.
All athletes will be provided with high quality race T-shirts made by Sport Science,
entrance to a pre-race party, and unique finisher’s award handcrafted by local Balinese
artists.

“Our primary goals in arranging the initial Bali triathlon are to promote tourism on the
island and to create a long lasting quality race that will attract both professional and top
age group athletes” says Robb Strom, one of the principals involved in the organization
of the race. Race organizers also include Brennan Lindner of Generic Events in Los
Angeles, and John Daniels of Bali Discovery Tours in Bali.

Athletes participating in the race are expected to come from all over the world to take
advantage of this unique destination race. While in Bali, they can take advantage of the
wide range of activities available, including scuba diving, elephant riding, white water
river rafting, parasailing, and jet skiing. Bali is famous for its spa properties, and athletes
will be treated to post race massage by local Balinese therapists. Special hotel and tour
packages for athletes and their families can be arranged by contacting Bali Discovery
Tours
.

Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay to be Host-venue for the 1st Annual Bali International Triathlon.

Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay to be Host-venue
for the 1st Annual Bali International Triathlon

Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay is proud to be the host-venue for the 1st annual Bali
International Triathlon, which will be held on June 24th 2007. This Olympic distance event
will be the first international-calibre triathlon ever to be held in Bali; a unique race that will
combine a challenging course within a beautiful setting, with the luxurious facilities, top-class
cuisine and exemplary services of Four Seasons Resort.

The event is expected to attract a large number of spectators. On Saturday June 23rd, the day
before the race, the Resort will be the meeting venue for the athletes within the picturesque
Coconut Grove. In the evening, this glorious setting alongside the Indian Ocean will be the
location of the athletes’ high carbohydrate Pre-Race Dinner, designed and prepared
exclusively for the occasion by the Four Seasons’ world-acclaimed chefs, utilising fresh,
premium ingredients.

Four Seasons has also designated one of the Resort’s elegant Private Estates as an office for
the duration of the event. This palatial villa is located just 50 metres from the beach, screened
from the outside world by a Balinese wall, flowering shrubs and mature trees. Four Seasons is
proud of its finely tuned security procedures, and its highly trained security team will be in
charge of the transition area.

Spiritualism dominates every aspect of daily life on the Hindu island of Bali and, even in the
grounds of international five-star hotels, daily rituals necessitating offerings and prayers take
place to secure harmony, balance and protection from evil. Four Seasons Resort will be
arranging a bike blessing ‘Prayasita’ ceremony in addition to a ‘Majaya Jaya’ ceremony to
bless and ensure the spiritual protection of all the participants, and to neutralise any demonic
forces. A ‘Pemangku’ lay priest will conduct the ceremony, using special offerings including
fruit, yellow coconut juice, grains of rice, sandalwood powder and young coconut leaves tied
with white thread and Chinese coins.

The Resort will be providing refreshments, in the form of bottled water and fresh fruit, to the
race participants, and will also be catering for up to 300 people with a tantalising choice of
gastronomic delights. The Resort’s beach restaurant, PJ’s, will be the dedicated seaside venue
for the post-event Awards Social Lunch, which will be served between 11 am and 2 pm on
June 24th, complete with traditional entertainment presented by a Balinese music ensemble.
Four Seasons has generously offered a 3-day, 2-night package in a One-Bedroom Villa at its
Jimbaran Bay Resort to the first athlete to finish the race. Hidden within frangipani-scented
gardens on a gentle hillside, enhanced by stunning views of the bay, each of the spacious
thatched-roof Balinese villas features a private garden, plunge pool, an open-sided living and
dining area, an air-conditioned sleeping pavilion, and a bathing area complete with an
oversized soaking bathtub.

Jimbaran lies on the western side of Bali’s narrow isthmus, a sweeping bay that curves from
the southern side of the airport to the bushy headland that is the home of the Four Seasons
Resort. The event will comprise a 1.5-kilometre swim in the warm waters of the bay, a 40-
kilometre bike ride from the edge of Jimbaran Bay through hilly paved roads to Nusa Dua,
looping back to Jimbaran, and a 10-kilometre mostly-flat run on paved roads through
Jimbaran and Kedonganan villages, ending with a beach finish at the Four Seasons Resort
Jimbaran Bay. More information about the event is available in Triathlete magazine and on
the Bali Triathlon website: www.balitriathlon.com
