Villa Bayanaka

Villa Bayanaka is a two bedroom Balinese style villa located in Canggu. Blessed by nature this villa is perfect to enjoy the true Bali experience with all the modern comfort and dedicated services.

Side by side with Nature

The villas are built in the shade and cool of coconut palms, banyan’s and other trees and vegetation that line the banks of the river. This shade provides a natural cooling effect, so doing away with energy consuming air-conditioners and allowing one to truly enjoy the sounds and scents of nature.

Glass sliding and folding doors from both bedrooms open onto hanging wooden decks surrounded by dense trees, this together with views of the river bank and neighbouring pad fields, creates a ‘lodge-like’ atmosphere.

Adjoining each bedroom are natural open-air bathrooms, so one can experience nature whilst also attending to nature, together with large walk-in wardrobes that generate a feeling of light and space

A natural ‘Bali-Green’ stone 14m infinity pool separates ‘Villa Padi and Kelapa’. To escape the heat of the day, one can relax on the sun-beds under the ‘Thunbergia’ vine-covered roof of the ‘Pergola’ that overlooks the pool. The Pergola offers yet another dining experience, where in the day one can enjoy the surrounding bird life or at night the moonlit reflections off the water.

A Peaceful Sanetuary in a true Balinese setting

‘Bayanaka’ literally translated from ancient Hindu Sanskrit means ‘extra-ordinary’, a name truly befitting this exclusive 2200sqm estate located in Canggu, Bali. Surrounded by nature and expansive grounds, this private two bedroom villa built along traditional designs, provides a peaceful and comfortable sanctuary in a true Balinese setting.

Capture The true essence of Balinese spirit
“The intention was to create an upper and lower compound using the natural gradient of the land with the structures symmetrically placed to enable a clear view down through the center. The layout of the property is similar to that of a traditional village moving from more public to private space with the lower area comprising two bedrooms positioned around existing trees, a living room, dining room and the lap pool in the center as orientation”

“The form and proportions adopted are that of a traditional Balinese house combined with a modern thought of architecture and have the structure blend into its natural surroundings. Trees disguise the building shape, moss covers the roof tiles and pathways and the stone lined pool looks natural. To give the occupants a feel for living in a Balinese home ‘alang-alang’ (grass thatch) is used to line the roof’s interior with traditional village tiles on the exterior”.

“Traditional structures include an original ‘Jineng’ (rice store) and ‘Wantilan’ (gazebo) with its red-tiled terracotta roof supported by ancient wooden posts from central Java and a combined Javanese/Balinese design for the base. Positioned centrally and open on each side, the ‘Wantilan’ accentuates the feeling of light and space with furnishings that create a traditional Javanese feel”
